Sergio Oliveira is expected in Rome tomorrow in order to undergo medical tests ahead of a move to Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
The Giallorossi have been linked with the 29-year-old Portuguese midfielder for a number of weeks now and they are finally ready to pull the trigger on the deal. Mourinho was incredibly keen to bring the Porto midfielder to the Italian capital and now he’s seemingly got his man.
As reported by Gianluigi Longari, Oliveira will arrive in Rome tomorrow to take his medicals before putting pen to paper on the six-month loan deal with the Giallorossi. Attached is a buy option worth around €15m.
Mourinho is unhappy with the current state of Roma’s midfield and so the arrival of Oliveira will be important as the Portuguese coach looks to get the ship back on course. The painful 4-3 loss to Juventus on the weekend is not something he wants repeated during his time in the Eternal City.
Medicals scheduled for tomorrow and then Sergio Oliveira will be a #Roma player from #Porto. Big shot for Jose #Mourinho @tvdellosport https://t.co/LHe5qD1ju5
