Andrea Pinamonti is shining on loan with Empoli this season and Inter already have a plan for talented youngster.

The 22-year-old Italian forward is one of the core players in Aurelio Andreazzoli’s Empoli squad this season, who currently sit 11th in the Serie A table, impressing in a win over Napoli and a 3-3 draw with Lazio.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter have a plan regarding the future of Pinamonti; the 22-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with the Tuscan side and the Nerazzurri are hoping that he’ll continue to shine, attracting the attention of clubs both from Italy and abroad.

The Milanese club would then look to sell Pinamonti in the upcoming summer transfer window, should the right offer arrive. He is contracted to Inter until 2024 and is working hard on loan, hoping to try and change the Nerazzurri’s mind.

The 22-year-old Pinamonti has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 20 Serie A appearances this season, and it seems likely that he’ll hit double figures before the end of the campaign.

  1. As an Inter fan, I find their policy of selling promising young players baffling! Bonucci and Pirlo are the two most obvious examples, but there are so many players that could have provided good service as squad players, rather than waste millions on bang average stranieri!!
Even now, they are determined to sell Pinamonti, but willing to spend €40 million on Scamacca, who’s stats this season are virtually identical! If anything, Pinamontis are slightly better!!

  2. Inglese Ultra: “…Scamacca, who’s stats this season are virtually identical!” Key to your statement: “THIS SEASON”. Scamacca has been making waves for a couple of seasons already and is 6′ 4″, and has different characteristics. As an Inter fan, you should have noticed how both Conte and Inzaghi prefer playing with a big target man up front. I’m sure Pinamonti is a fine player, but it may just be that Inter is looking for something else.

  3. The reason for them wanting to sell him is the huge capital gain because he is a youth player. This scenario has to change where clubs are encouraged to sell players who come up through the youth ranks

  4. Sadly you may have to add Zaniolo to that list as well. Even though not an academy player he did play for their Primavera.

Most of the big clubs have a few sad stories on that front.

  5. Pinamonti surely ahas a bright future
but I don’t think he is ready for Inter just yet. It’s true that Inter did waste talent like Pirlo but there is ko rehret for Bonucci. At first, I was questioning the reason why Inter sold Bonucci. But after I found out that he was sold as part of the deal to get Diego Milito from Genoa who turned out to be one of the most important players at Inter in Inter’s Treble Winning season… I had no regret at all! Bonucci was also a flop at Milan that proved without a great partner like Chiellini alongside him, he was just an average defender.
