Milan coach Stefano Pioli has named his 21-man squad list for tonight’s match against Venezia and seven Rossoneri players are out of action with injuries.

The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud, Davide Calabria, Rade Krunic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Junior Messias and Simon Kjaer are still on the treatment table, so they will miss tonight’s match against newly-promoted Venezia at San Siro.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Kjaer sustained an injury during the Rossoneri’s away game against Juventus over the weekend, which saw his other six teammates on the sidelines.

Ibrahimovic is dealing with an Achilles injury, while Giroud has back pain.

The Swede could recover in time for Milan’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid on September 28, while the recovery time for the former Chelsea striker is still unknown.

Franck Kessié and Fikayo Tomori are available for tonight’s match, but they are expected to start on the bench with Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer featuring in the Rossoneri’s starting XI.

Goalkeepers: Jungdal, Maignan, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Ballo-Touré, Conti, Florenzi, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Tomori.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Castillejo, Díaz, Kessie, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Strikers: Leão, Maldini, Pellegri, Rebić.

  1. Lets wrap this up early and get Pellegri on for the last 30 mins. Would be nice to see Ballo Toure and Conti too for a cameo.

  2. I mean, we signed Messi’s ass, a 30-year-old player who might have one or two good years to help the team, so what’s the point if he’s going to miss half this season by not even being injured.

What is even his problem if not injured? Any unfit player can become fit after a couple of weeks. It’s not like he’s been out of the game for six month or anything like that.
