Sampdoria have confirmed the appointment of Roberto D’Aversa as their new head coach until June 2023.
The former Parma boss replaces Claudio Ranieri who finished in 9th place with 52 points in 2020-21.

“UC Sampdoria can confirm that Roberto D’Aversa has been appointed as the new coach of the first team,” the club’s official statement reads.
“D’Aversa has signed a contract running through to 30 June 2023.
“Massimo Ferrero and everyone at Sampdoria would like to welcome D’Aversa to the club.”
