Mattia De Sciglio has officially signed a three-year contract renewal with Juventus, accepting a wage drop in order to stay in Turin.

The 29-year-old Italian full back had a tough time in Piedmont following Massimiliano Allegri’s initial departure in the summer of 2019. He hardly featured under Maurizio Sarri and was sent out on loan by Andrea Pirlo the following campaign. Since Allegri’s return last year, De Sciglio has returned to being a regular face in the Juventus squad, making 13 Serie A starts.

As announced by Juventus, De Sciglio has signed a new contract tying him to the club until 2025. He accepted a wage drop in order to renew his deal, lowering his salary from €2.7m to €1.5m net per season plus add-ons.

The Italian full back joined the Old Lady in the summer of 2017 from Milan in a deal worth around €12m. He’s made 91 appearances for the club across the last five years, for a total of 6403 minutes. In that time, he’s scored two goals and provided four assists.

  1. Juventus are the smartest club in the world, second only to Bayern Munchen. This is like a new signing and the fans will soon forget the pain of seeing Dybala in black and blue. With Donkey Lukaku heading back to an easier league, one where he can terrorize, it does not even matter how many defenders and right backs they sell. Just stand back and let the Cigarette failed F1 girl do his thing. New signings…. Where ? Di Maria hesitating and 34 years young. Pogba on insane wages and too invested in tik tok social media. The cherry on top is having PhD Max to guide the titanic. Ice berg and 4th spot tripleta imminently arriving. Again genius club and shout out to Agnelli, master of moving decimal points here and there.

  2. Worst signing of the transfer market. Always makes mistakes in big games and falls asleep. Get rid of him!!

  3. He’s Allegri’s little spy. That’s why.

Even Allegri’s know better than to renew with this guy for his footballing.
