West Ham have officially taken Marco Borriello on loan from Roma, just hours after the arrival of Antonio Nocerino.

West Ham have officially taken Marco Borriello on loan from Roma, just hours after the arrival of Antonio Nocerino.

The Hammers are building a Little Italy in London with two signings from Serie A in one day.

As expected for several days, the duo completed their transfers with Nocerino on loan from Milan and Borriello from Roma.

It had been reported West Ham would have an option to buy at the end of the season, but that does not appear to be the case, so it is a straight six-month loan.

Borriello is well-travelled in his career, playing for the likes of Milan, Genoa, Juventus” data-scaytid=”12″>Juventus, Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”13″>Sampdoria and Roma.

The Giallorossi released a statement confirming West Ham have paid €0.7m (£580,000) to take Borriello for six months.
