Ahead of Sunday’s match with Udinese, the former Milan defender insisted that despite his team having only won one match since promotion from Serie B, he remains calm and confident over their chances of staying up.

“We have done great things and got less than we deserved, through misfortune, a lack of solidity, our own defects and the merits of others,” Oddo said at a Press conference.

“We have shown we can compete with everyone, I am still confident and very calm.”

Oddo them commented on Sunday’s opponents, who lost narrowly to Juventus in Luigi Delneri’s first match in charge last week.

“In Turin I saw a very organised team who played a good match, they have players of a great level.

“We will try to win, I would not take a draw now. But like I always say, if you can’t win it is important not to lose.”
