Adriano Galliani has praised the work of boss Massimiliano Allegri, but he’s in no hurry to extend his contract.

The tactician is tied to the San Siro giants until June 2014 and there was talk that he could net a renewal following the club’s impressive response to a disastrous start to the campaign.

“I say well done to Allegri,” the Vice-President told Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday. “However, there is still time to talk about an extension.”

The Rossoneri lost five of their first eight League games, but they are now third and only five points behind second-placed Napoli.

“All the clubs from Napoli until Roma in the table can target qualification for the Champions League,” he added. “But I think Juventus have won the Scudetto.”

The Diavolo are also still in the Champions League and will take on Barcelona in Spain next week with a 2-0 first leg advantage.

“We have to think about Genoa before Barca. They are still the best side in the world though, despite their recent moment.”

The Nou Camp outfit have lost three of their last four games.
