It was reported earlier on Tuesday that the Nerazzurri were set to beat off interest from Juventus and Barcelona to seal a €25m deal for the forward.
However, in an interview with ESPN Brasil, the Brazilian side's chief denied the San Siro club had even made an offer for the 19-year-old.
“The Inter offer? I haven’t received anything,” Roma said.
