It is reported that Bologna’s Ibrahima Mbaye has agreed a deal to remain with the club until 2023.

The Senegalese defender’s current contract expires this summer, meaning he would be able to leave Emilia-Romagna for free at the end of the season if he does not sign an extension.

However, Il Resto del Carlino claims that 23-year-old has agreed to extend his stay with the Rossoblu for the next five years.

Mbaye, who joined the club from Inter in 2015, has made 17 appearances so far this season, scoring one goal.

Greek side Olympiacos were thought to be interested in securing his services in June, but that now appears unlikely.
