The 21-year-old was called back by the Old Lady from his loan at Genoa and is currently training ahead of the weekend’s match with Milan.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he discussed the frequent parallel drawn between him and the Diavolo’s midfield icon Gennaro Gattuso.

“I hear that from many people and it pleases me, because he was a truly great player for Milan and for Italy,” said the midfielder, as reported by Tuttojuve.com.

“It would be wonderful to do even half of what he did.

“But he's not my only point of reference. I'm a guy who looks at every player and tries to learn from everyone, so I adapt to different situations.

“These are certainly exciting days, because for a young player like myself, landing here is a dream.

“Coming here and finding such a well-rigged structure is quite impressive, because in Genoa the level was certainly not comparable.

“That's why there is a difference between one team and another. I spent one year at Modena, but it's like I never did. So leaving was something novel.”

The Italian prospect confirmed his previous statements that he was sad to leave Genoa on account of the friends he had made there.

“I was very sorry to leave, because I went through the entire youth system.

“All I did there was making great friends, especially Mattia [Perin]. We practically lived together. And I took care of him, he was like a son to me.

“It was pretty tough. But I'm still in touch with everyone so there's no problem of any kind.”

Sturaro was also asked about the Bianconeri's competitors for the Scudetto, and he discussed Roma as well as the upcoming game against Milan on Saturday.

“Our seven-point lead on Roma can be a good thing, but also something bad because we must never lower our concentration.

“All it takes is two matches to dissipate our lead. So it must be a further incentive to widen the gap.

“Juventus-Milan will certainly be a difficult game, because there are great players on both sides, but we are preparing ourselves for it well, even though the snow caused us some trouble today. But we're concentrated and driven to play at our best.

“As for Carlos Tevez, we wished him happy birthday today and he was very happy. We even threw him in the snow and bombarded him with snowballs. He was laughing but I'll bet he was cold!”
