Juventus and Roma’s chances of signing Denis Zakaria have risen as a move to the Premier League now looks unlikely.

The 25-year-old Swiss midfielder has been impressive this season for Borussia Monchengladbach and interest in him is high, especially considering that his contract expires with the Bundesliga club at the end of this season. Juventus and Roma have both been linked with a move for the player, and now they’re in a better position to pull off a deal.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, a move to the Premier League seems incredibly unlikely for Zakaria, with Liverpool not wanting to pull the trigger on a move. Manchester United have spoken with his agents but no offer has been submitted and now isn’t expected to arrive.

Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are all pushing for a move for the 25-year-old Swiss midfielder, but they may be pushed away by his €7m price tag. Roma have also been linked with the player.

Zakaria has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1528 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided one assist.
