Roma coach Jose Mourinho prepares for his first clash with Stefano Pioli, but his relationship with Milan has been delicate since his time at Inter, losing only twice in seven meetings with the Rossoneri.

The match at the Olimpico in Rome sees the Special One face the Diavolo for the eighth time so far, and the former Inter coach has the edge over his former rivals.

The Giallorossi are fourth in Serie A ahead of the match against leaders Milan and the battle for a place in the Champions League continues with another big game in the Italian capital.

Mourinho’s men held Napoli to a 0-0 draw at home last weekend, before beating Cagliari 2-1 in Sardinia.

Milan are unbeaten in the League, but have only two wins over Mourinho and are yet to beat him in the last five meetings.

Mourinho lost the first two clashes with the Rossoneri, as he suffered a 1-0 defeat with FC Porto and then a 1-0 defeat with Inter. He has since won four and drawn once.

The biggest win came at San Siro, when Inter won 4-0 in August 2009 thanks to goals from Diego Milito, Maicon, Thiago Motta and Dejan Stankovic.

But tonight the two coaches clash for the first time ever, as Pioli was working in Serie B during Mourinho’s first stint in Serie A.
