Rumours have increasingly linked Jose Mourinho with the vacant Brazil job but the Portuguese coach is not planning to leave Roma.

The 59-year-old has reportedly been a possible candidate for both the Portuguese and Brazilian national teams in recent weeks, with both nations replacing their head coaches following the World Cup in Qatar.

Mourinho has been with Roma since July 2021 and guided them to their first ever European title in the Europa Conference League last season.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, despite the interest from Brazil, Mourinho does not want to leave Roma and so will not accept the offer, committing to his project in the Italian capital.

One person who tried to convince the Portuguese coach of the idea was former Inter star Ronaldo, but his efforts were in vain.

Mourinho is contracted to Roma until 2024 and is keen to continue building the project with owners the Friedkin family. His presence on the bench helped attract players like Paulo Dybala and Andrea Belotti.
