Morata has not settled in London and was linked with a move back to Juventus, especially as he was spotted in Milan this week meeting with Juve director of sport Fabio Paratici.

However, according to Cadena Ser and Il Messaggero newspaper, there are other Serie A options for the Spaniard.

It’s reported Chelsea are prepared to offer Morata plus €35-40m in order to prise Icardi away from Inter.

Icardi has shattered records at San Siro and was joint Capocannoniere this season with 29 Serie A goals, on a par with Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.

He has scored a massive 107 competitive goals in 182 appearances for Inter, and at the age of 25 has 110 Serie A goals in 190 games.

There is a release clause in his contract worth €110m, but that is only valid up until July 15.

Morata would be interested in a move to the Nerazzurri because they have qualified for the Champions League and his wife is a fashion blogger, so would be right at home in Milan.
