Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo, the former Nerazzurri boss, is said to be preparing a €6m offer for the ex-Genoa striker.
The 32-year-old has scored just three goals in eight Serie A games this season. He netted only five in 23 League games last term.
If Milito is sold then the Nerazzurri could make a move for Borriello, a man who doesn’t feature in the plans of Roma boss Luis Enrique.
The 29-year-old, who Roma were forced to buy for €10m from Milan in the summer following a loan stint, has started just two League games this term.
The Italian international is also of interest to former club Genoa, but Inter will be able to meet his salary demands.
Inter are struggling in front of goal. The five strikers in their squad – Luc Castaignos, Diego Forlan, Milito, Giampaolo Pazzini and Mauro Zarate – have scored just six combined in Serie A this term.
