Reports in Italy continue to maintain that West Ham United are within hours of securing Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The terms of the deal should be circa €17m plus performance-related bonuses, although the Hammers are believed to be haggling.
According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Serbia international Milenkovic has given the all-clear and accepted the personal terms put forward by West Ham.
There had also been interest from Tottenham Hotspur, but it would appear they never made a formal proposal.
Fiorentina needed to sell Milenkovic because his contract is due to expire in June 2022 and the 23-year-old had commanded a transfer fee double that last summer.
Juventus and Sevilla had also been tracking his situation, but again West Ham have made the offer that could stick.
Sportitalia are confident a deal can be done by tomorrow, and the replacement has already been found, as Fiorentina can bring Matija Nastasic back from Schalke 04 for a minimal fee, as his contract is also running down.
