Speaking after last night’s Champions League match between the two teams, Galliani was asked to play a bit of fantasy football.
“If I could sign one player from Barcelona then it would have to be Messi,” the Rossoneri official commented.
“But the second player would, without a doubt, be Xavi. He was the best player on the pitch tonight.”
Both Messi and Xavi got on the scoresheet at San Siro as the European champions collected a 3-2 victory.
“We were happy with the way we played on Saturday against Fiorentina and we didn’t win,” added Galliani.
“It’s the same situation tonight.
“Let’s hope that we’re unhappy on Sunday but manage to take home the three points. In all seriousness, we did well against Barcelona.”
