Milan are just two new signings away from matching Barcelona, insists former San Siro hero Dejan Savicevic.

The Rossoneri lost 3-2 at home to the European champions on Wednesday, but the ex-trequartista thinks the Italian club can close the gap in quality between the two teams.

“Milan need two new players to get on the same level as Barcelona,” Savicevic told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Just two. They need an addition in midfield and another in defence.

“After all, they have all that they need in attack. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexandre Pato and Robinho are amongst my favourite players.

“They also have Kevin Prince Boateng, who is one of the best players in Europe. He has strength and has the ability to break into attack from midfield.”

Although the Italian champions were defeated in the Champions League on Wednesday, Savicevic says boss Massimiliano Allegri should be proud.

“Milan play better and better on every occasion that I see them,” concluded the former Red Star Belgrade ace.
