Ante Rebic’s reaction to Milan‘s cancelled goal against Spezia is causing controversy on social media, with many Juventus fans arguing it wasn’t any better than Leonardo Bonucci’s touchline row last week.

The Croatian striker could not believe Junior Messias’ goal had been cancelled out by referee Marco Serra who had blown his whistle to give a free-kick to Milan seconds before the Brazilian found the back of the net.

He was so desperate that he held the referee’s face for a few seconds, going head to head with the 39-year-old who didn’t even book the Croatia international.

His reaction caused controversy on social media and, especially Juventus, fans have highlighted how Rebic’s action wasn’t too different from the one of Leonardo Bonucci.

The veteran Juventus defender was involved in a touchline row with Inter secretary Cristiano Mozzillo in the final minutes of a Supecoppa Italiana showdown last week between the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri.

Many called for Bonucci’s ban, but the defender was only fined €10,000. Now Juventus fans expect Rebic to get at least the same treatment.

  1. Rebic cried when they fouled him lol, he is the reason why judge called that faul for sure, in the first place

  2. Rebic’s reaction is one of disbelief. He’s not attacking anyone physically because he lost like Bonucci. Juve fans don’t need to worry, he won’t even start against them anyway.

  3. No one can touch referee during the game. Even for laughing. It’s a rule. There shouldn’t be any exceptions. In other case it will cause a chaos.

  4. Bonucci only got a fine. I thought it was an automatic a few games suspension when it happened. If it was against a player he gets a straight red. Also if anyone thinks those two scenarios are the same then they’re clearly delusional

  5. Both payer and ref were smiling it was not aggressive at all. I think bunucci still tries to prove he isn’t a mercenary to Juventus fans because he left and was sold the next year.

  6. Ahaha
Juve players are always swarming and touching the ref. For once they did get what was comming to them and now the endless crying… pathetic.

Rebic did not attack the ref. You can manipulate the screenshot as much as you want.

Why aren’t you talking about Paqueta red card and suspension for slightly toucheing the ref? Not in line with pro-juve agenda?

  7. If you are putting these two incidents into the same theory then you are worst than COVID so go in and isolate yourself
