England boss Fabio Capello has praised Milan's moves on the transfer market as they edge towards the Scudetto.

The Rossoneri are just a point away from clinching the Serie A title and the former Rossoneri tactician thinks their player buys, both last summer and in January, have been key.

England boss Fabio Capello has praised Milan's moves on the transfer market as they edge towards the Scudetto.

The Rossoneri are just a point away from clinching the Serie A title and the former Rossoneri tactician thinks their player buys, both last summer and in January, have been key.

"Their market strategy was great," Capello told the Corriere della Sera. "With Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, the club got their campaign off on the right foot.

"They then got Alessandro Nesta back from injury and the club subsequently moved really well to add Mark Van Bommel and Antonio Cassano."

Ibrahimovic and Cassano joined from Barcelona and Sampdoria respectively after their relationships with their former clubs broke down.

Capello knows both forwards well given that he has bossed them in his career.

"There aren't really any problems to face with Ibra," the former Juve boss added. "The worst is that he gets annoyed when he loses games in training.

"Cassano, on the other hand, is someone who always wants to play."

Capello also praised Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri who looks set to win the Scudetto during his first season at San Siro.

"Allegri has demonstrated intelligence," he added. "He has understood that in order to win you always need to know how to defend.

"He has also managed the squad well and has been able to create a good atmosphere within the camp."
