Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are expected to sign a contract extension with Milan this week, while Divock Origi will undergo his medical with the Rossoneri.

The ex-Liverpool striker will join the Serie A champions on a free transfer and is the first signing for the Rossoneri this summer. Milan are unlikely to sign a new striker in the current transfer window unless they sell Ante Rebic.

The Rossoneri secured Origi’s signature several weeks ago but seem stuck now as their directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara haven’t yet signed a new deal with the club.

Their contracts run out on June 30 and according to Sky Sport Italia, new club owner Jerry Cardinale is confident of signing a new deal with the pair this week.

It remains to be seen if the signature will arrive in time to close the Renato Sanches deal. PSG have reportedly outbid the Rossoneri to sign the Portugal international, and the same goes for Newcastle and Sven Botman.

The Dutch central defender and Sanches have an agreement with Milan, but the Diavoli’s offers are not the best ones on the table, so Lille are pushing to send their stars to PSG and Newcastle.
