The 23-year-old is heavily expected to be meeting Rossonero Vice-President Adriano Galliani in the capital today, to discuss his potential transfer to San Siro.

Whilst it is understood that the player harbours doubts over agreeing to an initially temporary move, Milan are reportedly prepared to include a clause connected to appearances and goals, to make their purchase option with Roma obligatory.

At the same time, SportMediaset report that the Diavolo’s contract offer to Destro would be for three years and with an annual salary at €3m, twice his rate they report he is paid at Roma. The Gazzetta dello Sport have Destro's current salary at €2.2m, though.

SportMediaset also indicate that Milan remain optimistic in negotiations and hold hope of Destro taking medical tests as early as tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Milan Channel are also reporting that Galliani's visit to Rome is specifically to negotiate with Destro.
