Milan strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic, trained with the rest of the group today and are expected to be available for the match against Roma on Thursday.

Stefano Pioli will likely have his attacking trio available when the Rossoneri host José Mourinho’s side at the Stadio Meazza on Thursday.

Leao missed the last three Serie A games with a bicep injury while Rebic had been out of action for nearly two months, first because of an ankle injury and then due to muscular problems.

Ibrahimovic missed the last game of 2021 against Empoli with knee issues.

According to Milannews’ correspondent Antonio Vitiello, Ibra, Leao and Rebic all trained with the rest of the team today at Milanello, so they are all expected to be available against Roma when Serie A resumes on Thursday.

Davide Calabria has also recovered from an injury and will return against the Giallorossi, although Alessandro Florenzi could start at right-back.

  1. I hope they have allowed Rebic to recover properly. Twice now (that I can recall) they’ve rushed him back and he’s been injured pretty much straight away.

  2. If Pioli want to win let him try 4-4-2
    Maignan

    Florenzi Tomori Romagnoli Theo

    Saelemakers Diaz Tonali Leao

    Ibrahimovic Giroud

  3. I don’t think Ibra and Giroud up front is a good idea unless it’s the last minute and we’re 1-0 down. I think the 442 is good but it relies on one of the 2 strikers dropping deep to create space or one of the midfielders stepping up out of position to create a chance. I really do think we’re best suited to a 4-2-3-1 with the players we have available.
