According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan will soon meet Sassuolo to discuss Domenico Berardi, but the Rossoneri are only considering a loan offer for the Italy international.

The Neroverdi star has already reached double figures for goals and assists this season and is Stefano Pioli’s favourite candidate to become Milan’s new right winger in the summer. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan and Sassuolo directors will soon meet to discuss the 28-year-old and his teammate Gianluca Scamacca.

Sassuolo value Berardi at €30m, but the Rossoneri are not willing to offer as much for a player they’d struggle to sell again in the future due to his age. For this reason, they could make a loan offer with an option or obligation to buy.

The Rossoneri’s strategy suggests that negotiations between the two clubs may be as long as last summer when Sassuolo sent Manuel Locatelli to Juventus with a similar formula: loan with an obligation to buy.

Berardi is not the only target for the Rossoneri as Noa Lang, Charles De Keetaere and Marco Asensio are also on their radars. Yacine Adli will join Milan after his loan at Girondins Bordeaux. The French starlet has scored one goal and delivered eight assists in 31 Ligue 1 appearances this term.

  1. I bet our existing strikers would score more with better playmakers behinds them… Just a thought. On the other hand, he would be an upgrade on the RT over what we have.
