"We'll have to do well for him, but more than for him, for the situation that he's in," boss Massimiliano Allegri stated.

"Antonio was doing well and he was in good shape," he added. "I hope he'll be back as soon as possible."

Milan and Barcelona currently lead Group H on seven points, while BATE and Plzen have collected just one point each so far.

"It will be an important game for the result and for qualification," Allegri added. "If we get the qualification, then we're playing for top spot with Barcelona."

The San Siro giants go into the tie on a high following Saturday's 3-2 win at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma.

"I'm not sure about Clarence Seedorf, Antonio Nocerino and Alberto Aquilani. I have to decide between Taye Taiwo and Gianluca Zambrotta at left-back."
