Noah Okafor has met his new Milan teammates in the USA and Stefano Pioli says the new signing can play as a striker or left winger.

The Rossoneri boss spoke at a press conference after a 3-2 loss against Real Madrid in the first Soccer Champions Friendly in the USA.

“I saw interesting things after ten days of work, especially how we tried to move the ball. We occupy different positions, but the principles are the same,” Pioli said as quoted by Gazzetta.

“I like this Milan side, we’ve signed strong players such as Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders who are settling in. They’ll help us raise the technical level and play even more offensive football.”

Luka Romero doubled Milan’s lead before the break with a stunning goal from the edge of the box and Pioli was happy with what the Argentinean striker showed.

“He had a great impact, not only on the goal,” he said.

Okafor, another new Milan signing, has just arrived in Los Angeles where he met his new teammates for the first time.

“He can play in different positions, he is young but has already proved his worth,” noted Pioli.

“He is fast and strong in one vs. one. I think he can play as a striker or left-winger, but I can give a real judgement once I’ve worked with him.”

Milan have released the video of Okafor’s arrival at Milan’s hotel on TikTok.

Pioli was also asked his thoughts on Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze who is close to joining the Rossoneri, but the Italian tactician refused to reply.

“I won’t comment on players until they join us,” he concluded.

The Serie A giants will continue their pre-season tour in the USA with friendlies against Juventus and Barcelona.
