Milan’s Ricardo Rodriguez says his side must learn to be more compact after a 4-1 defeat at Lazio.

The Rossoneri were totally outclassed by Simone Inzaghi’s team, with Ciro Immobile scoring a hat-trick and Luis Alberto adding a fourth for the home side.

And left-back Rodriguez, signed from Wolfsburg over the summer, stressed that Milan must show an improved performance in their Europa League opener on Thursday.

“They did well. We need to play in a more compact way,” Rodriguez stated post-match.

“Starting from Thursday in Vienna, we need to do better.

“It’s very difficult, we want to do better and win the next game.

“Tomorrow we will talk about what happened together. We need to work hard in order to improve.”

Today’s defeat means Milan lose their 100 per cent Serie A record and fall three points behind early pace-setters Juventus and Inter.
