Milan are expected to have showdown contract renewal talks this summer with Mino Raiola for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The agent used to have a very strong rapport with the Rossoneri, back when Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi were at the helm.

That deteriorated after Massimiliano Mirabelli became director of sport, while the club is now trying to do its negotiating via Ivan Gazidis.

According to Tuttosport, Raiola is going to be at the centre of several tricky situations at Milan this summer.

Milan are expected to have showdown contract renewal talks this summer with Mino Raiola for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

That deteriorated after Massimiliano Mirabelli became director of sport, while the club is now trying to do its negotiating via Ivan Gazidis.

According to Tuttosport, Raiola is going to be at the centre of several tricky situations at Milan this summer.

Goalkeeper Donnarumma’s deal is due to expire in June 2022, so selling him now is the only option to avoid potentially losing their most valuable player to a free transfer.

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all said to be interested.

Another problem is represented by defender and captain Romagnoli, partly because his contract runs out in June 2022, but also as he’d burst through a proposed salary cap.

Romagnoli currently earns €3.5m per year net, whereas Tuttosport insists Milan owners Elliott Management Corporation and the club’s CEO Gazidis are setting a salary cap of €2.5m per year net.

Again, the most likely option here would be to sell on at a profit, having signed him from Roma for €25m in 2015.

Ibrahimovic’s contract was only ever going to last six months, with an option to extend apparently ignored now that Milan have changed so much.

Tuttosport suggest Ibra has no intention of remaining after the club fired his friend Zvonimir Boban, while he could even retire rather than go elsewhere.
