Milan have rejected claims that they are lining up a January move for Jose Bosingwa of Chelsea.

The Portuguese international has been associated with the Italian giants given the player's contract situation at Stamford Bridge.

The defender has less than six months left on his deal in London and this will be Chelsea's last chance to cash in on him should they not offer him an extension.

However, Milan have noted that they have no plans to sign the right-back even if that may change at the end of the season.

However, Milan have noted that they have no plans to sign the right-back even if that may change at the end of the season.

"We always like good players and Bosingwa definitely falls into that category, but we're just on standby," director Ariedo Braida noted.

"At the moment there is no interest from us in the player, but who knows when it comes to June…

"Football is ever changing, a situation now may not be the same situation at a later date.

"All I can say right now is that Bosingwa will not be joining us in January, but I don't know about the summer."

The former Porto star, who has had his injury problems over the last 18 months, would seem to be a good fit on paper for Milan given their full-back issues.
