Lille sensation Eden Hazard has confirmed that he was approached by both Inter and Milan over the summer.

Hazard will feature for his French club against Inter in the Champions League on Wednesday, an outfit who have been strongly paired with his signature over the last six months.

"Inter made me an interesting offer in the summer," the Belgian attacking midfielder told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"However, there was still some uncertainty regarding the choice of Coach and we didn't know whether Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o were going to stay," he added.

"But it's not just Inter as Milan have shown an interest as well. They proposed that I stay at Lille and then sit down for serious talks at the end of the season.

"I feel ready to join a major club and I won't be staying in France…"

Hazard, who has won the praise of Zinedine Zidane and was likened to Lionel Messi by former Lille tactician Claude Puel, is being monitored by clubs across Europe.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been paired recently, as have the likes of Premiership giants Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Hazard will celebrate his 21st birthday in January.
