The 19-year-old midfielder from Boca Juniors emerged as the primary target for the Rossoneri, even to the point of challenging Juventus for him.

More and more details about the prospective offer are emerging. On from reports that the Diavolo are willing to spend €12m, exceeding Boca's requirement of €10m, the Gazzetta dello Sport now reveals the personal terms that have allegedly been offered to the player.

Bentancur would earn €1.5m per season over five years were he to join the Italian club. This is a substantial offer for a player so young, and one which many believe competitors Juventus would not be willing to match.

Although Milan are now in pole to sign the player, the deal may still take a while before being closed. Part of the reason is bureaucratic, as it will take a while to disentangle the Uruguayan from the buy-in option that Juventus have for his services.
