Milan could reportedly return for Milan Badelj in January, as the Fiorentina midfielder’s contract is up at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with the Croatian last winter, but ultimately he remained at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Badelj’s contract expires on June 30, so he’s free to negotiate with other clubs from January onward, but Tuttosport believes the Diavolo could look to get a jump on the competition.

While the Viola don’t want to lose the midfielder, they could sell for a cut price rather than see him leave on a free at the end of the season.

Indeed, Milan could agree a contract with him for July and then use that as a bargaining chip to lower the price.
