Fiorentina boss Sinisa Mihajlovic is forced to reshuffle his decimated squad against Cagliari, but warns Adrian Mutu he could be dropped or used as a centre-forward.

“Mutu is ready and has been training for three days, but we haven't had much time to work with him and he only started kicking the ball yesterday, so it's possible Khouma Babacar will play,” explained the Coach.

“If Mutu does start, then he'll be a centre-forward. Adrian is a striker who is missing the goal, but it's important that doesn't become an obsession, as he has to play for the team. A goal comes when you least expect it.”

The Viola need to completely revamp their line-up against Cagliari, as Dias Felipe, Gianluca Comotto and Per Kroldrup are suspended.

There are also injuries for Alberto Gilardino, Riccardo Montolivo, Cesare Natali, Sebastien Frey and Stevan Jovetic.

“Even with so many absentees, if we step on to that pitch ready to win then we can challenge anyone, as we showed against Milan and Juventus,” continued Mihajlovic.

“It will be a different game from a tactical perspective, as they will come out to defend and therefore leave us less space.”
