Massimiliano Allegri is happy with the victory, but warns Milan “there is a long road ahead of us” to the Scudetto.

The 3-0 hammering of Brescia consolidated their Serie A leadership with a three-point gap from Lazio.

“I really cared about winning tonight and we did get off to a strong start, then we relaxed a bit,” said the Coach.

“After the second goal we kicked back into gear and got the third, then it all seemed a lot easier. We can be happy with what we did this evening.

“I really cared about winning tonight and we did get off to a strong start, then we relaxed a bit,” said the Coach.

“After the second goal we kicked back into gear and got the third, then it all seemed a lot easier. We can be happy with what we did this evening.

“There is a long road ahead of us, as don't forget last season Roma took 14 points off Inter's lead. We've got 33 so far and that's not even enough to guarantee safety, let alone a Scudetto, so we need to maintain this pace.

“It wasn't easy against Brescia, as we could've had the wrong approach and run into trouble.”

There was still no room for Ronaldinho, but Clarence Seedorf was rested so that Kevin-Prince Boateng could play as a trequartista.

“I fielded Boateng because I needed a player who could push into the box from midfield and, seeing as Brescia have quite a deep defence, I thought he could do a good job.

“It has happened that someone is on the bench and others even in the stands, but the important thing is the team and making sure those who do play give their all.”
