Nainggolan has spent the season back on loan at Cagliari, but the Sardinians do not have an option to buy the Inter midfielder and the coronavirus pandemic is forcing clubs to curb their spending.

“For now, there’s no news,” Marcello Carli told cittaceleste.it.

“Our priority, like it is for everyone at the moment, is not the market but restarting the season.

As per the website, the Nerazzurri are desperate to offload the Belgian and his €4.5m salary, which is due to run until 2022.

Fiorentina and former employers Roma are considered the frontrunners for his signature, but the Beneamata must sell him for at least €19.6m to avoid a loss on their balance sheet.
