Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic reveals Mario Balotelli is “available” to face Carpi in the Coppa Italia tomorrow.

The striker has been out since the defeat to Genoa at the end of September, and was forced to go under the knife for a sports hernia.

“Balotelli? He’ll be available tomorrow,” Mihajlovic confirmed in his pre-match Press conference, before discussing some other absentees.

“Jeremy Menez has been training with the group a little. The important thing is that he’s not feeling any pain, we want to have him back as soon as possible, maybe before the end of January.

“Could Kevin-Prince Boateng start? It’s an option, but we’ll have to see because he hasn’t been playing for some time. We’ll see.

“He can play on the wing or up-front. He says he’s better on the right, but he can play in all four attacking roles.

“Luiz Adriano? Let’s see tomorrow, I still haven’t decided who will play. On Saturday [against Roma] when we didn’t have the ball he had to cover [Daniele] De Rossi, and he did it well.

“Then I asked Boateng to do the same thing when he came on, and he did it well too.”

The match in the capital ended in a 1-1 draw, a result which did little for either Mihajlovic, or Giallorossi Coach Rudi Garcia.

“I don’t think I saw a bad Milan in the first half. We didn’t start well, that’s true, but after 15 minutes we got a grip on things and we did well.

“After having conceded a goal so early in the game, we could have fallen apart but instead the team showed that they were together and we deserved to win.

“In the last few games we’ve deserved nine points, but we didn’t have much luck, even though I’ve told the lads not to blame bad luck.”
