Sinisa Mihajlovic insists he’s “calm” amidst speculation over his future on the Milan bench.
The Coach has been under severe pressure at San Siro for months, with rumours yesterday – swiftly denied – that the Rossoneri had contacted Marcello Lippi to replace him.
“It’s now been three months since the rumours started about me,” Mihajlovic pointed out in his Press conference ahead of the Carpi match in the Coppa Italia.
“It’s not a problem for me, I’m calm, and I’m taking it one game at a time.

“It’s not a problem for me, I’m calm, and I’m taking it one game at a time.
“Lippi? The club denied it immediately, then it’s over. I’m too smart to fall into certain traps, I’m calm.
“Silvio Berlusconi? I heard from him yesterday, we talked a little bit about certain things.
“This team can fight for a place in the Champions League, but unfortunately we’ve never been there.
“We deserve to be six or seven points higher in the table, and at this point we’d be in the fight for top spot. I’m disappointed about that.
“We have to improve in attack, we have to be more ruthless and cynical. We create a lot, but we don’t always score.
“If we play the way we have in recent games, we’ll soon get back to winning.”
A win against relegation-threatened Carpi would set up a semi-final with Spezia or Alessandria, and Mihajlovic admits the Diavolo have a great chance of making the final.
“Winning tomorrow would allow us to go into the semi-finals and then aim to lift a trophy. It won’t be easy against Carpi, they’re a team who fight for 90 minutes, but tomorrow’s match is the most important of the season.
“The objective tomorrow is to qualify, we’re focused on this match and if we play as I know we can we have a good chance of winning.”
