New signing Junior Messias has reportedly returned to training with Milan and could be back in time for the match against Atalanta in Serie A.

The 30-year-old moved to Milan from Crotone at the end of the transfer market, when he completed a loan deal with an option to buy.

The Brazilian has yet to play for the Rossoneri and has struggled with an injury in recent weeks but should be at coach Stefano Pioli’s disposal this weekend.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports Messias trained at Milanello today, with the rest of the squad, as Milan prepare for the big game against Atalanta.

The Diavolo are still without Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the recovery of Junior Messias is a boost for coach Pioli.

It’s still uncertain how much and where Messias could be used, as Milan continue to impress in Serie A, sitting two points behind leaders Napoli after six games.

Messias scored nine times in 36 games with Crotone last term, but couldn’t help the Rossoblu reach safety in Serie A.

  1. Great. Now we probably just need to wait another month for him to actually play a game.

I had\still have so much hope for this guy. He can be a big help.

  2. Can’t wait to see what he can do, never seen him play hopefully won’t have to wait to long now he might be able to take over the role from ever demanding Kessie
