Beppe Marotta commented on the rumours that Mino Raiola passed away earlier today, wishing the super agent well.

Multiple Italian media outlets reported that the 54-year-old Italian agent had passed away at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan following a long illness, but this was disputed by both his family and his press office. Professor Alberto Zangrillo then told ANSA that Raiola was still alive but in an extremely critical condition.

Speaking at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the Il Foglio event, Marotta commented on the conflicting reports regarding Raiola’s health.

“They tell me it’s not true… I hope he will be okay. I am bound to him by a friendship based on several clashes we had. Mino is a well-prepared, cunning agent, but very correct.

“He has this characteristic of saying up front what he thinks, in this also the economic demands that are always exorbitant, but clear.

“I’ve managed many deals with him, most of all is that of Pogba to United, earning Juventus €110 million. There he was very good at making it happen. I can consider him the best in the business.”

Raiola represents a number of top footballers around Europe, including Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt, Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

The 54-year-old agent later expressed his anger at the rumours on both Twitter and Instagram, seemingly confirming his family and press office’s denials.
