There are fears that Romelu Lukaku won’t be back for Inter before 2023, while Edin Dzeko missed the first part of today’s training session but will be available against Bayern Munich tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri are preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League clash in Germany, but both sides have already qualified for the Round of 16.

Inter had announced a new injury for Lukaku earlier today before a late morning session at the Suning Training Centre.

Lukaku won’t travel to Germany and will probably miss Sunday’s next Serie A match against Juventus. According to Sportitalia, it is unlikely that the Chelsea loanee will return to the pitch with his club before 2023.

Currently, there are no suggestions that Lukaku will miss the World Cup with Belgium because of his injury.

Dzeko missed the first part of today’s training session but is expected to join the team in Germany. The ex-Roma forward picked up a knock during Saturday’s 3-0 win over Samp and partially trained separately this morning as a precaution.
