Luis Enrique has been offered a two-year contract by Roma to replace Vincenzo Montella on the bench.

Reports have been gathering pace that the Spaniard will be handed the job and a deal is almost complete, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Rome-based paper claims that sporting director Walter Sabatini met Luis Enrique's representative in Milan yesterday to thrash out a deal.

Sabatini is understood to have offered the now former Barcelona B team tactician a 24-month agreement, with an option for 2013-14.
