Parma captain Alessandro Lucarelli thinks the League table doesn’t give a fair reflection of his side’s efforts so far this season.

The Gialloblu have 12 points from 11 games and are just three clear of the relegation zone – a position the stopper finds frustrating.

“The season has been positive up to now for how we have been playing, but we deserved more results,” he stated.

“Unfortunately, also because of a few mistakes we have made, we haven’t been able to achieve them.”

Just a week after beating Milan 3-2, the Stadio Tardini outfit lost 1-0 to Genoa and Juventus in the space of four days.

“We played a good game against Juventus, conceding little and creating some chances.

“We can’t say anything negative about our performance, we played a great match – unfortunately it ended badly.

“We need to be more determined in front of goal in the future and concede less behind. We’ll try again against Lazio…”
