Esteban Cambiasso has applauded boss Walter Mazzarri for transforming Inter back into a competitive outfit.

The Nerazzurri finished ninth last season, a position which saw Andrea Stramaccioni axed and replaced by the former Napoli tactician.

“You can definitely see the Coach's hand,” the Argentine enforcer told Sky Sport Italia after the 3-0 win at Udinese.

“Mazzarri's teams have always had an identity, something which has allowed him to achieve certain things.

“We're happy with the work we've done until now.”

Fourth-placed Inter had only won one of their previous five in Serie A, but they convinced with their display at the Stadio Friuli.

“I'm happy the team is playing like this and gives the impression of being in charge of the game because that's a must here at Inter,” added the former Real Madrid man.

“The team was angry after the draw at Atalanta and we wanted a reaction. Today we were able to express ourselves well.”
