Fernando Llorente reflects on his time in Serie A – “I’ll be a Juventino in my heart for the rest of my life”.

The Spanish striker spent two years with the Bianconeri, before moving to Sevilla on a free transfer this summer.

“I’ll be a Juventino in my heart for the rest of my life,” Llorente explained to Tuttosport.

“Right now, if I think about it, I can’t see myself in Italy in a shirt other than Juventus. But you know how it is, in football you can never say never about anything.

“Right now, if I think about it, I can’t see myself in Italy in a shirt other than Juventus. But you know how it is, in football you can never say never about anything.

“I was sorry to leave Juve and Turin, I was very happy. It wasn’t down to me, I was feeling confident and I’d have stayed.

“There aren’t many clubs like Juve in the world.”

Llorente scored the winner against his old club in the Champions League, condemning the Bianconeri to second-place in the group and a meeting with Bayern Munich.

“In the seconds after the goal, I was happy for myself because I didn’t have an easy start to the season here at Sevilla.

“But… basically I was sorry to have scored against my former team. I didn’t celebrate as I usually would.

“I was in the Juventus dressing room after the match, I made a lot of jokes. Second-place for them was a harsh blow.

“Bayern? Juve can beat them over two legs, it shouldn’t be a problem now to face a strong team in the Champions League.

“I’m confident.”
