The Coach reportedly told his Rossoneri players that they had “no dignity” following the defeat to Roma on Saturday.

“These kind of phrases are outbursts that can come out, especially for a young Coach,” Lippi noted on Radio 2.

“Brocchi was hoping to do something different, and he wanted to show his qualities because he has a lot of them.

“He felt betrayed, and in that context of a team talk he also came out with that phrase. I’ve said worse.

“I don’t know if an outlet like that will improve or worsen the situation of the team.

“If there’s mutual respect between the players and the Coach it’ll have no effect. If that esteem is there it won’t have negative consequences.”
