Lautaro Martinez admits all Inter can do is ‘keep winning’ and maintain the pressure on leaders Milan after beating Udinese 2-1.

The pressure was on the Nerazzurri today after Milan beat Fiorentina just before this game kicked off at the Dacia Arena.

Ivan Perisic’s early header broke the deadlock, followed by Lautaro Martinez on the rebound after his penalty hit the upright.

Ignacio Pussetto got one back late on to set up a tense finale, but Inter emerged 2-1 winners and retained the gap at the top of the table to two points.

“We wanted to win and play like this, because we knew Udinese were tough, aggressive and very physical. We’re happy, because we stay up there,” Lautaro Martinez told DAZN.

“It’s not about pressure, we just need to do our work and keep winning. We are trailing in the table, that is all we can do.”

Next week, it is Inter who will play earlier against Empoli on Friday, giving Milan two days to sit on that result before their trip to Hellas Verona on Sunday.

“This is a team, we are all fighting for the same objective, there are three crucial games remaining. Right now, Milan are at the top. We wanted to win this game and hope they dropped points, it’s all we can do now, because we are the ones who dropped important points.”

Inter are playing on Friday because they will then face Juventus in the Coppa Italia Final on May 11.
