The 21-year-old was snapped up from Racing Club for €16m in July, fighting off competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid.
“He is very happy in Milan as a city and at Inter as a club,” his father Mario Martinez told FCInter1908.it.

“He is very happy in Milan as a city and at Inter as a club,” his father Mario Martinez told FCInter1908.it.
“The Nerazzurri gave him a marvellous welcome and he is settling in quickly. It’s true that he had many offers, but Inter seemed most suited to him. Everyone dreams of playing in Serie A, plus they had qualified for the Champions League.
“There were many factors that pushed him towards accepting Inter and he is very happy with the choice he made. Right now his next target is to win the Milan Derby and then score his first Champions League goal.”
Lautaro has already scored his first goal for Inter in Serie A and for Argentina at senior level.
“It’s an incredible time for him, something he always dreamed of, especially to score his first in Serie A at San Siro.”
He is seen as an alternative to Mauro Icardi at both club and international level, but can they play together?
“He has a very good rapport with Mauro, both on and off the field, as Icardi helped so much in the process of settling in. They can happily play together, and did so in several summer friendlies.”
