Andrea Barzagli believes this is the strongest Juventus he’s ever played in and with Cristiano Ronaldo the Champions League has gone “from dream to objective.”

The centre-back joined Juve from Wolfsburg for just €300,000 in January 2011 and was a key figure in their run of seven consecutive Serie A titles.

“It has been a convincing start to the season, with great performances and spirit,” Barzagli told Juventus.com.

“It has been a convincing start to the season, with great performances and spirit,” Barzagli told Juventus.com.

“It’s not easy to win every time and will be even tougher to improve from this level and keep getting stronger. This team has been constructed to fight for every target.

“On paper, it is the strongest Juve side I have ever played in, and is certainly the most complete team unit.”

The biggest addition to the Bianconeri this season has been Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

“After two Champions League Finals that we lost, and games where we proved that we’re up to the task, we are more and more convinced that we can do it.

“With Cristiano Ronaldo and other champions coming in, whereas before we saw the Champions League as a dream, it is now an objective.”
