Milan defender Simon Kjaer trained on the pitch at Milanello today and La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed a promise made by the Denmark international after his knee injury in January.

Kjaer sustained an ACL tear at the start of the year during an away Serie A clash against Genoa. It was a season-ending injury, so even though the Dane trained with the ball at Milanello today, Milan fans won’t see him on the pitch again before the end of the campaign.

The Rossoneri posted two pictures of Kjaer training at Milanello today, but it will still take some time to see the former Palermo centre-back in action in an official match.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the veteran defender had promised that he’d let his hair and beard grow until he played the next competitive game and for this reason, he looks pretty different from the last time he played with a short hairstyle.
